Sparkle Nails in Kuwait Discovery Mall | Lights in wanderlust

If you know me, you would know that I would never in any place or time turn down a manicure or pedicure or any type of spa treatment for that matter!

As I was in discovery mall I decided to book an appointment with my friends to give it a go, since I already heard postive reviews of it and I was not disappointed, the staff was quick and very nice to every customer and they had an array of nailpolishs from Essie to OPI and there was just so many, it took me a while to even decide!

Fashion is...

I've noticed that a lot of designers like non other than the great Karl Lagrefarl has been getting a lot of backlash due to his eccentric and unique taste..

This in my opinon is quite horrid if I should say so myself! 

Fashion is about moving forward and exploring new options opening to worlds eyes to something new; making someone not just your average rich person feel good in something or than sweatpants! We are all forgetting that CHANEL and many other big household names are the ones who set the trends and open everyone's eyes to a world of new ideas and experiences that fashion can bring; and yes, many of us can't afford CHANEL or Dior but you know what most of us can afford? 

Inspiration.  That's what. You see something in a store that might fancy your interest or you absloutely hate but that's what fashion is, isn't it? Finding your self in clothes, expressing yourself in any way that might help or just a way to boost your self esteem. 

Fashion is all about change and originality, without it most of us would be lost; I know I would be...

Beach Essentials!

Many go to the beach and always forget to pack very important essentials may it be sunscreen, a towel or even lunch!
Therefore here's a fool proof guide to for what to bring with you...

Sunscreen- This is not a shock to many but I think its safe to say I think almost everyone one of us has gotten sunburnt pretty badly. What I would suggest is getting one that is oil-free and sweat/water resistant and lastly one that is SPF(+50) for your face and also don't forget your lip-balm with SPF 15!

Sea Salt Spray- You wanna come out of the ocean like a Victoria Secret model with flawless untangled hair but in reality you come out looking like a hobo with seaweed tangling in between strands, and trust me you are definitely not alone but I think we should all take a moment to thank the heavens for those sprays that can tame your hair after a really crazy beach day!

The Breakfast Club in Kuwait

I think most of us have seen The Breakfast Club at one point in our lives and if you haven't I totally recommend it! Anyways if you live in Kuwait you've probably heard of The Breakfast Club restaurant in Kipco Towers which serves absolutely delicious breakfast food; and if you're like me with an extreme love for breakfast foods then you can only imagine how excited I was to find out about it and boy, was I not disappointed!

                                      

                                         

                                     

                               

                                  

                                  

Healthy Oatmeal Pancakes!

Friday mornings are the best. Where you can have a day of complete and utter laziness and no would dare say a thing! One of my favourite breakfast foods are pancakes but unfortunately they are filled with fat and refined sugars which are really bad for you. Luckily I discovered an extremely healthy alternative which tastes just as good!

Ingredients;

• 1/2 cup of oats flour
• 1/4 cup of rolled oats (but I did it with steel cut oats which wasn't a good choice because this brand needed a long time to cook and had a very nutty and rough texture.)
• 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1 small egg
• 1 tbsp of honey
• 2 tbsp yogurt 
• 1/4 cup of milk

In a bowl, put all dry ingredients together:

1/2 cup of oats flour

1/4 cup of rolled oats

1/2 tsp of cinnamon 

1/4 tsp salt

In a separate bowl, put all liquid ingredients together:

1 small egg

1 tbsp of honey

2 tbsp yogurt 

1/4 cup of milk

Slowly pour dry ingredients into the liquid mix and stir together until its all incorporated but don't mix it too much.

Add any extras you may want such as chocolate chips or some berries!

Hershey's semi sweet chocolate chips

Mix together until its all incorporated.

Heat up a non stick pan and put about 2 tbsp of batter, flip both sides till golden brown.

Day out!

So today was quite a day, as I got to enjoy it with my nearest and dearest! 

I had breakfast with my friends at The Avenues in Café Coco which was superb. I ordered the eggs bendict which was amazing; and the Coco Nutts drink was not short of perfection! 

Afterwards we headed to shop for a while and afterwards stopped at Teavana, which is my latest discovery and I was surely not disappointed. I had an Oolong iced tea which was great since I was a bit bloated and it helped a lot.

As I went all around to continue shopping I didnt buy much just a long chiffon skirt and a black & white horizontally striped dress from H&M.

Not a very successful shopping day but it'll do. 

For some dessert we went to Ladurée; where we had Macaroons, Prailine cake and Iced coffee. (which wasn't so good...) 

Venchi café in Florence, Italy

Today I visited an amazing little chocolate shop in the centre of Florence; which served coffee, chocolates and the best crepes ever!

This cafe sells gelato too; from fruity to sweet and spicy. They come in little cups and only 4 Euros for one which is 

a pretty decent price knowing that it's quite high end! 

The crepes on the other hand were just, magical, or maybe I was just really hungry and cold, but seriously it was out of this world!
